Breanne and Daniel's Del Mar Powerhouse Wedding
I am often asked in the DJ community, where do I find such awesome clients? I tell them all the same thing…. I'll never share my secrets! Just kidding. The truth is sometimes you just don't know where you are going to find a potential client, sometimes they just pop up in unexpected places. Breanne showed up in a very unexpected place.
I am an avid listener to a podcast called Crime Junkies and often a lurker of their Facebook fan page. Well, it turns out so is Breanne. I never would have thought I would find a potential Bride while indulging in my favorite guilty pleasure but I did! Chatting about crime quickly lead to the realization that we were both in San Diego and that she was a Bride in need of a DJ!
Breanne was working with the amazing Sarah Joan to coordinate and plan her wedding day dreams. They had picked the beautiful Del Mar Powerhouse as their venue. The location is perfect for an intimate ceremony with beach view and beautiful sunset.
Cocktail hour started right after the ceremony. While Breanne and Daniel enjoyed having portraits taken on the beach at sunset, I kept the guest mingling and enjoying great music.
We wasted no time getting the celebration started with an awesome grand entrance leading right into first dance. Breanne and Daniel really brought the energy as they came in, everyone was clapping and so excited to welcome the newest California wedding couple!
I played their “Jackie & WIlson” by Hosier for their first dance and I have to admit, this venue was perfect for this moment. Everyone had a perfect view of the new couple, even the guests in the upstairs area.
The toasts began shortly after the couple’s first dance with old college buddies sharing stories about our bride and groom. The toast ended with a room full of tequila shots. Salut!
Once the formalities were all done, it was time to get dancing!!
Breanne and Daniel wanted to make sure all their guests had some entertainment so we included the photobooth in their package. So many fun goofy memories put together into an adorable photo book for them to take home and enjoy.
